Flick Extends Barcelona Stay Until 2027

Hansi Flick has signed a new contract with Barcelona, extending his stay at the club until 2027.

The German manager enjoyed a sensational debut season, guiding Barcelona to a domestic treble and an impressive UEFA Champions League campaign that saw them reach the semi-finals. Their European journey ended after an epic 13-goal thriller against Italian side Inter Milan.

Following the announcement of Flick’s contract extension, the club released a statement saying:

“Hansi Flick has made Barça fans happy in his first season for many reasons — for the belief he has given to the team, for the epic comebacks, and for the trophies. The excitement that the German has brought to the club in his first year in charge has made FC Barcelona a feared rival once again in Europe.”

Flick also addressed the fans after the renewal, saying:

“Hello Culés, I renewed my contract. I’m very happy. Let’s go together into the next season and the next years. We will give our best and you will support us. Visca el Barça!”

He further expressed his delight and ambition, stating:

“I’m happy that my journey continues. We’re not at the end yet. We have a lot of potential in this team. I’m very happy to work with them.

I want next season to be like this season. We will work hard, we will try to improve, and of course, we want to win titles. This is Barcelona, and you have to win titles.”
