Atlético Madrid has extended the contract of Antoine Griezmann until June 2027. He is the club’s all-time leading goal scorer with 197 goals. Griezmann joined the club in 2014 and has spent nine seasons across two different spells.
He is the eighth player with the most appearances for the club, with 442 matches to his name. He also ranks as the third non-Spanish player with the most appearances, behind his teammates Jan Oblak and Ángel Correa.
The French football legend has won one Spanish Super Cup (2014), one UEFA Super Cup (2018), and one UEFA Europa League (2018). One standout moment in Griezmann’s Atlético career was his brace in the UEFA Europa League final—a 3-0 win over French side Olympique de Marseille in 2018. He also scored the first goal at the Riyadh Air Metropolitano.
This season, he has played 53 matches, scoring 16 goals and providing nine assists.
