Tech billionaire and owner of SpaceX Elon Musk in a post cried out against low birth rate that could be a factor for population collapse on Thursday, insinuating that if women don’t give birth to the appropriate number of kids, then human days are numbered.

According to @elonmusk: “Low birth rate was the primary factor in the fall of Rome and all civilizations that enjoyed an extended period of prosperity with no serious external threats. Shockingly overlooked by most historians.”

Backing up Musk’s summation, Fortune Media in an article stated that: “Humans Need 2.7 Kids Per Woman To Survive” in order to avoid long-term extinction.

However, the U.S. is at 1.66, Italy at 1.29 and Japan at 1.30 and it doesn’t even cut it close to what the richest man in the world is warning against.

In proffering a solution to the problem that seems less of a bother to the general populace that are either battling poverty, depression, unemployment, low income earning and all, Musk wrote: “People who have kids do need to have 3 kids to make up for those who have 0 or 1 kid or population will collapse”

His opinion generated heated argument with most people in his comment section asking him how he expect them to survive, the comments varies from solution provider, to outright rejection and racism in some quarter.

However, the comment section took a twisted turn when @AfricanHub declared that Africans will save the world: “In Africa some men have more than 11 wives + more than 6 girlfriends and each of these women have more than 4 children Africa will save the world from population collapse.”

The comment reveal some white supremacy, as some of them feel africans are inferior and don’t need to populate anymore.
