Al Hilal Sends Manchester City Packing From The FIFA Club World Cup

Asian giants Al Hilal knocked Manchester City out of the FIFA Club World Cup in a dramatic 4-3 victory after 120 minutes of thrilling football.

Manchester City took the lead in the 9th minute through Bernardo Silva’s goal. However, Al Hilal came firing back after the restart with two quick goals from Marcos Leonardo and Malcom.

City drew level in the 55th minute via Erling Haaland.

After 90 minutes, the match went into extra time. Kalidou Koulibaly restored Al Hilal’s lead, as Ruben Neves turned provider.

Phil Foden made an immediate impact, coming off the bench in the 100th minute to score just four minutes later.

The game looked like it was going into penalties until the 112th minute, when Ederson failed to clear his line properly and punched the ball into Leonardo, who tapped in for the winner.

Al Hilal’s run in this tournament is a testament to how competitive the Saudi Pro League is and a reminder that it should not be overlooked.
