U.S. President Donald Trump on Thursday threatened to withhold support or endorsements for any lawmaker who voted against a White House effort to roll back funding for foreign aid and public media.

Trump posted on Truth Social read: “It is very important that all Republicans adhere to my Recissions Bill and, in particular, DEFUND THE CORPORATION FOR PUBLIC BROADCASTING (PBS and NPR), which is worse than CNN & MSDNC put together.

“Any Republican that votes to allow this monstrosity to continue broadcasting will not have my support or Endorsement. Thank you for your attention to this matter!” he added

His latest attack on public media is to undermine media outlets that produce and air content that he sit against him.

 The Corporation for Public Broadcasting is the entity set up by Congress to distribute grants to public media outlets.
