Leeds United have reached an agreement with Newcastle United for the transfer of Sean Longstaff, according to reports from David Ornstein.
The newly promoted Premier League side will pay £12 million for the midfielder. Longstaff has been with Newcastle since the age of eight and has progressed through every level of the club’s youth setup.
He made his competitive first-team debut against Nottingham Forest in the Carabao Cup in August 2018. The 27-year-old went on to make 214 competitive appearances for the Magpies, scoring 16 goals.
Longstaff played a key role in Newcastle’s Carabao Cup campaign last season.
