That’s why the topic I have chosen today,is ” why do so many different streams of people keep asking me Questions about Dr. Tonnie Iredia, ,that indefatigable and fairness minded leader,who, though a regular confession going Catholic devotee continues to inspire people without discrimination?
But this latest and particular question which has prompted my curiosity,was asked in the mosque and came from one of my Mosque’s Central Committee Member, called Prince,a self – confident Igala Muslim from Kogi State, who’s also popular in the mosque for standing up in defence of Truth and Justice and never gives up until all foggy issues about the authentic and authoritative Islamic versions are considered .and conclusively arrived at.

It’s no longer news, that, so many people keep asking me questions about Dr. Tonnie Iredia, the former Director General of NTA, and an ex U.I. Alumnis: my boss at NTA and one of my mentors, now a Professor with 3 PHD’s at my last count and currently,the owner of his own private University.

Truly speaking and if I were to suggest a name and if the Nigerian dress- coded colonial system permits, I would have begged him to simplify name it ” Point-blank University, Benincity ” or even name it after my anti colonial hero, the Great Radical Monarch,Oba Overhemen of the ancient Benin Kingdom,who resigned himself to fate and resisted and refused to kowtow to the idiotic and racist colonial apologist like the rest .
Well, back to the question Prince asked me is,” does Dr. Tonnie Iredia ever pretend”?
Well,to do justice to this question, I owe it a duty to my question to ask his News Staff like Dr. Usman Magawata, Garba Mamu and Nasiru Zaharadin,the Kano Born Former NUJ National President, during the Dele Giwa crisis bedevilled mystery Parcel Bomb Saga.
Of course, I can’t forget my late friend,the late Yusuf Jibo,the fearless Gentleman and Journalist who’s great investigative journalism savvy made Nigerians to discover the late female Pharmacist whose unusual anti corruption pharmaceutical Salvos salvaged Nigerian medical system from the gridlock from Asian and Biafran Drug Cartels.

As for Dr. Professor Pharmacist Dora Akunliyi, nobody can cancel late General Muhammadu Buhari’s non tribal role in her strategic position as First NAFDAC serious – minded CEO,with uncompromising anti corruption mindset like her mentor.
And as for Doctor Tonnie Iredia, I Ican vouch that, he is a Nigerian legend, not only in Broadcast Journalism but in Quality leadership, because, if not for Tonnie Iredia, I would have been thrown out of NTA, for not kowtowing to the vanity and excessive mentality of African Empty Stuff called Bigmanism.

Finally, I must conclude by telling President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, that so many people,both Nigerian and Foreignerers are nostalgic about Pointblank and keep asking me questions: when is point Blank returning to to the NTA Network Menu?
I’m sure, Toni Iredia is an irresistibly artistic Nigerian Broadcast icon who’s well equipped to confront the social security and moral defaults in our country, thru effective media intorrogtion and therepuetic mediation.
