After days of deadly clashes that displaced over 270,000, Cambodia and Thailand agreed to an “immediate and unconditional” ceasefire.
The deal was struck in Malaysia, where Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim hosted urgent talks with both leaders, alongside US and Chinese diplomats.
The fighting has raged for weeks along the disputed border, with artillery shelling and small-arms fire forcing thousands to flee nearby villages as both sides trade blame for the violence.
