The Green Legacy Initiative is a demonstration of Ethiopia’s long-term commitment to a multifaceted response to the impacts of climate change and environmental.

The country planned to plant 7.5 billion indigenous seedlings as part of its Green Legacy Initiative in 2025, targeting degraded lands and boosting climate resilience. The effort, valued at around $3.5 billion, aims to restore ecosystems.
