The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) has alerted Nigerians to expect thunder and heavy rain in the nation from Monday to Wednesday with possibility of flash floods in some parts of the country. NiMet issued the alert on Sunday in Abuja

It warned: “The public is advised to take precautions against strong winds, lightning, and flooding during thunderstorms.

“Farmers, commuters, and event planners should stay updated with NiMet’s forecasts.”
