Former Gombe State Governor, Ibrahim Hassan Dankwambo, was quoted this week as expressing support and even went further to describe former Vice President Atiku Abubakar as an ultimate political leader in the North.

For me as a citizen, stakeholder and practicing Muslim who traversed the length and breadth of the country, I want to totally disagree with the views and stand of the former Governor.

In fact, I will say Northern Nigeria is now caught in a most debilitating and horrific moral crossfire between serving God or paying tribute and spiritual homage to Godfatherism,like never heard before.

I couldn’t imagine somebody from the North and who claims to be a Muslim and just because he is looking for a presidential ticket would stand before an international conference in Paris, France , to not only disown the establishment of Islamic Sharia in Nigeria but went further to totally denounce it, in order to impress his Western sponsors,even when the Sharia legal jurisprudence is the centraputal nexus of the Islamic din itself.

Yes, there’s no doubt Dankwambo is an adopted child and corrupt product of the OBJ-Atikoolooted PDP old School of politics of 419 Scammers and overnight Billionaires that destroyed the indefatigable legacy of Danfodian integrity of Northern Nigeria’s spiritual incorrigibility.

The irony is that, during the first Republic, the North was a moral reference because we had political leaders who were recognized worldwide like the first Prime Minister, Sir Abubakar Tafawa Balewa; the First and last Premier of Northern Nigeria Sir Ahmadu Bello, The Sardauna of Sokoto and Gamji Dankwarai; the Ali Mongunos, Aliyu Makaman Bidas, Yahaya Gusau’s, Aminu Kano’s, the Pa Sunday Awoniyis , Pa Rev. Lot, Pa Canon Jolly Tanko Yusuf ,as well as several distinguished others , with abundant moral integrity, be they Muslim or Christian including retired Navy Commodore Vice Admiral Samuel Atikum that late Muhammadu Buhari’s incorrigible Plateau State Military Governor: who once revealed to me at the V.I. Lounge of the Lagos International Airport, while waiting for our flight to Jos during the June 12 political crisis, that “every Northerner was spiritually blessed with purposeful inclination to be positive ambassadors of humanity”, to which I interjected with excitement and gleefully jovial ,thus ,”except honesty is becoming a scarce commodity now even in the North”, to which we all humorously laughed at, not knowing that my innocent scarsm was unpredictably going to be a dominant reality.

There’s nothing else more fortuitous and painfully insultive and insensitively confirmatory than the former Gombe State Hassan Dankwambo’s dangerous admission of fait-accompli comments and vacuous commendation that” a notorious looter like that OBJ’s corrupt scoundrel of a Vice President remains a key political figure for them in Northern Nigeria , despite his deliberate romance and decamping to the African Democratic Congress, which at the moment, is connected to, as well as totally controlled by the OBJ Pro- American anti Muslim political bigots.

Well my answer to Dankwambo is that he should desist from making sweeping generalizations about the North because there’s a moral dichotomy in Northern Nigeria which has visibly divided the North between them versus we and our two paths are inevitably parallel and can never meet at any intersection with their own brand because our choice is to appreciate God in our life while they are more concerned and committed about paying homage to Godfathers.

Thus this is my final response to their audacity of challenging our spiritual beliefs in Allah SWT with their choice of ADA a secret cult political amalgam that promotes Zionist worldview about Dollar-God of worshipping money and materialism.
