The Lagos State Environmental and Special Offences (Enforcement) Unit, popularly known as the Task Force, has arrested 32 suspected drug dealers.
The raid, which commenced around 1:30 a.m. on Wednesday, August 20, 2025 targeted known black spots and criminal hideouts in Agidingbi and Ikeja GRA.
The state Commissioner for Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab, announced the operation’s outcomes on X on Wednesday, detailing the locations covered during the enforcement action.
According to him, areas raided include Alausa CBD, NERDC Road, Alhaja Ashabi Cole Street, the frontage of the African Shrine in Agidingbi, Adekunle Fajuyi Way, Shobo Arobiodu, Isaac John Street, and Oba Akinjobi Road in GRA Ikeja, among other adjoining streets.
“During the raid exercise, a total number of 32 suspects, which comprises 25 males and seven females who were in possession of hard and illicit drugs suspected to be indian hemp, codeine and other narcotic substance, were arrested. Sanity was restored in all the areas,” the commissioner added.
Tokunbo Wahab revealed that all the suspects will be charged in court accordingly.
