Al Nassr lost the Saudi Super Cup final to Al Ahli. Cristiano Ronaldo gave Al Nassr the lead in the 41st minute with a well-taken penalty, but just four minutes later, Franck Kessié equalized for Al Ahli.
The second half brought even more drama. Marcelo Brozović thought he had sealed the win for Al Nassr with a goal in the 83rd minute, but Roger Ibañez leveled the score in stoppage time with a header from a corner, sending the game into extra time.
Al Nassr eventually lost 5-3 on penalties. Abdullah Al-Khaibari missed Al Nassr’s fourth spot-kick, giving Galeno the chance to win it for Al Ahli—he made no mistake, calmly placing it past Bento.
It was a disappointing night for Ronaldo as his wait for a second trophy in Saudi Arabia continues. However, on a personal level, he reached a major milestone by scoring his 100th goal for Al Nassr. The 40-year-old also became the first footballer in history to score over 100 goals for four different clubs and his national team.
Despite the result, Ronaldo was the standout performer on the pitch, with: One goal, one penalty goal, 100% accurate long balls, 100% aerial duels, 78% accurate passes – 14/18,two chances created, three shots on target, two ball recoveries, and one clearance.
