Five suspected kidnappers of Yoruba and Fulani tribes were arrested in Kwara State, following a gun battle with combined forces of soldiers, local vigilantes, and hunters at Ero Dam, Odo Owa community, in Oke-Ero and Ekiti local government areas of Kwara State.
The arrests followed intelligence reports; the suspects allegedly terrorized the area. Cash in naira and dollars was recovered. Angry community members subsequently burned properties, including vehicles belonging to the suspects.
