Feran Torres brace and Dani Olmo goal gave Barcelona the three points against Getafe.
The win takes Barça to 13 points from five games, with four wins and one draw under new manager Hansi Flick.
Hansi Flick praised his players in his post-match press conference:
“We succeeded in controlling the match, we played well, and we secured the three points. It’s not easy to score goals against Getafe, but we did it.”
He also took the opportunity to single out Dani Olmo for his performance:
“We have 25-27 players, and we need everyone. The most important thing for me is that each player gives their best for the team’s benefit, and Olmo did that today. That’s what we expect from him throughout the season.”
Getafe coach José Bordalás also praised Barça’s fluid and versatile style of play:
“Barça are a team that can play as it pleases it has great players in every position, capable of combining possession, playing in spaces, and counter-attacks. We, this season, are very limited and are doing what we can.”
Barcelona’s next match is against newly promoted side Real Oviedo, scheduled for Thursday, 25th September.
