Mayele Hattrick Delivers Pyramids Fc Their First Fifa Trophy With Win Over Star-Studded Al Ahli

Pyramids FC defeated Al Ahli 3-1 to win the FIFA African-Asian-Pacific Cup. They will earn a prize of $2 million for winning the trophy. Fiston Mayele single-handedly delivered Pyramids FC the trophy with a hattrick on the night against a star-packed Al Ahli side featuring phenomenal players like Chelsea legend Edouard Mendy, former Premier League striker and England international Ivan Toney, and former Barcelona midfielder Franck Kessié.

Mayele, aside from his goals, completed 88% of his passes, hit the woodwork once, created one chance, and made one pass into the final third. Defensively, he helped the team by tracking back; he had one clearance, one ball recovery, and won three of his ground duels. The DRC striker also excelled in the air, completing two aerial duels.

The former Young Africans forward has always come clutch in big moments. He was CAF Champions League top scorer last season. Mayele found the back of the net in both the semi-final against Orlando Pirates and the final against Mamelodi Sundowns, a team that included several South African national team players.

Pyramids can achieve a  remarkable feat this year. They have already won the CAF Champions League and the FIFA African-Asian-Pacific Cup. The CAF Super Cup, FIFA Challenger Cup, and FIFA InterContinental Cup are still up for grabs. Pyramids will play RS Berkane in the Super Cup Final. The CAF Champions League winners will face the winner of the match between Mexico’s Cruz Azul and the CONMEBOL champions on December 13 for the Challenger Cup. If they win that, they will take on Paris Saint-Germain in the InterContinental Cup final. In total, Pyramids FC could win five trophies in 2025.
