Outrage has trailed the Lagos State Government’s decision to appoint controversial social media personality, Ayomiposi Oluwadahunsi, popularly known as Mandy Kiss, as a brand ambassador for the state’s Kick Against Drug and Substance Abuse (LASKADA) campaign .
The appointment was announced by the Lagos Commissioner for Youth and Social Development, Mr. Mobolaji Ogunlende, during an event organized by LASKADA in Lagos.
Mandy Kiss, widely known online for her controversial lifestyle and self-proclaimed image as a “runs girl,” recently sparked nationwide backlash after announcing plans to stage a “sex marathon” with 100 men in a single day in Ikorodu, Lagos, on September 30, 2025. She claimed the move was aimed at breaking a Guinness World Record.
The announcement of her ambassadorship has drawn sharp criticism from Lagos residents and civil society groups, who argue that the government’s decision undermines the moral fabric of the campaign.
“This is not the kind of person who should be the face of a campaign against drugs and substance abuse,” a resident told Lagos Reporters. “Her online content and recent sex marathon declaration clearly contradict the values the government is trying to promote.”
Critics have described the move as a mockery of public morality, with many warning that it could damage the image of Lagos State both locally and internationally.
The development comes at a time when concerns about drug abuse and rising cases of youth immorality are at the center of public discourse in Nigeria.
