The Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) has launched the second phase of its contactless biometric passport application system in the U.S., Mexico, Jamaica and Brazil. This is contained in a statement issued by the Service Public Relations Officer (SPRO), Mr Akinsola Akinlabi, on the NIS official ‘X’ page on Monday in Abuja. Troops from the Nigerian Army and Operation Safe Haven (OPSH) successfully rescued 16 abducted passengers, including six children, along the Jos–Mangu road in Plateau State on Sunday, April 13th, 2025.
