The Lagos State Government has directed the reopening of Ebute Ero and Gorodom markets on Lagos Island starting Monday, following an agreement signed by traders to maintain environmental cleanliness . The decision was announced over the weekend by the Commissioner for the Environment and Water Resources, Mr. Tokunbo Wahab, during an inspection tour of the markets. The markets had been closed for over two weeks due to repeated violations of state environmental laws.
