South Korea’s ousted conservative President Yoon Suk Yeol plotted for over a year to impose martial law to eliminate his political rivals and monopolize power, investigators concluded Monday. Yoon’s martial law decree in December 2024 lasted only several hours and resulted in his rapid downfall. The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) conducted a unique naval special operation in the port of Novorossiysk. The Sub Sea Baby underwater drones struck a Russian Kilo-class submarine, causing severe damage and disabling it. The submarine was carrying four Kalibr missile launchers, which Russia uses to launch attacks against Ukraine. The operation was a joint effort by the SBU’s military counterintelligence service and the Ukrainian Navy. The value of such a submarine is approximately $400 million, and taking sanctions into account, the construction of a new submarine could cost up to $500 million.
