The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has announced the arrest of 93 suspected internet fraudsters in Abeokuta, Ogun State, confiscating 18 vehicles and various mobile devices.

According to a statement by operatives of the Lagos Zonal Directorate 2 of the EFCC, the suspects were apprehended on Sunday, August 10, 2025, in a sting operation based on credible intelligence regarding their alleged involvement in internet crimes. The statement concluded that the suspects will face charges in court upon completion of investigations.
