“Being useful at scale is the hardest thing in the world”—Elon Musk

@elonmusk: “Try to be as useful as possible. “It may sound trite, but it’s so hard to be useful, especially to be useful to a lot of people, where you say the area under the curve of total utility is how useful have you been to your fellow human beings times how many people? ‘It’s almost like the physics definition of true work. “It’s incredibly difficult to do that. “And I think if you aspire to do true work, your probability of success is much higher. “Don’t aspire to glory, aspire to work.”

The 15-year-old’s killing prompted nationwide protests and vigils, also sparking debate on pervasive racism in the country. The killers, Jack Brearley and Brodie Palmer, were “callous and lacking in empathy” as they chased Turvey down and savagely beat the Noongar Yamatji boy with a metal pole, Justice Peter Quinlan told a packed courtroom on Friday. ‘I Love My Fans, But Also Dread Meeting Them’ – Life As An Autistic Elite Footballer

Goalkeeper Safia Middleton-Patel is part of the Wales squad for Euro 2025. She is sparky, thoughtful, and has an infectious laugh. She is also autistic. Overstimulation has sent her to bed, exhausted, for a week. A misunderstood social interaction can ruin her mood for months. She will drive miles past a petrol station to find one with a self-pay pump. And, unconnected to her disorder, she is of the opinion that tomatoes are vegetables, whatever the scientists say. Of which more later. But first and foremost, the 20-year-old Manchester United goalkeeper is a hugely promising footballer – being named player...

Iran’s foreign minister has admitted that “excessive and serious” damage was done to the country’s nuclear sites in the recent US and Israeli bombings. Abbas Araghchi told a state broadcaster on Thursday evening, an assessment of the damage is being carried out by the Atomic Energy Organisation of Iran. But, just hours earlier, Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said the strikes did not disrupt the country’s nuclear programme. Khamenei was responding to US President Donald Trump’s assertion that the bombs had “totally obliterated” three nuclear sites. Khamenei said the US attacks had failed to “accomplish anything significant”. The supreme...
