Arda Güler has been ruled out for the remainder of the season after sustaining a biceps femoris muscle injury, bringing his 2025–26 campaign with Real Madrid CF to an early end. The Turkish midfielder is now set to focus fully on rehabilitation, with hopes of returning in time for the FIFA World Cup.
The injury occurred during a group training session on Thursday, April 23, 2026, when Güler suddenly experienced muscle discomfort. He was immediately withdrawn from the session and did not return to the pitch, instead continuing recovery work in the gym for the rest of the day.
Following medical assessment, Real Madrid’s medical staff conducted an MRI scan which confirmed a grade two tear in the biceps femoris muscle of his right leg. The setback is expected to keep him sidelined for approximately four weeks, effectively ruling him out of the final six matches of the La Liga season.
