Valentín Barco is set to become a new Chelsea FC player after the club reached a full agreement with RC Strasbourg for his permanent transfer. The deal has now been confirmed, with all parties agreeing to the move ahead of the upcoming season.
An agreement is already in place between Chelsea, Strasbourg, and the player’s representatives, with Barco accepting a six-year contract that will keep him at Stamford Bridge until June 2032. Personal terms were reportedly agreed back in April, paving the way for the transfer to move swiftly toward completion.
Barco is expected to be part of Chelsea’s first-team squad next season, with the club viewing the Argentine talent as an important long-term addition. New manager Xabi Alonso is understood to hold a strong opinion of the young defender, while Chelsea’s sporting department also delivered highly positive reports on his development and potential.
Chelsea and Strasbourg are currently completing the final paperwork and documentation before the transfer becomes official. An official announcement is expected once all formalities are finalized, with Barco now preparing for a new chapter in the Premier League with Chelsea.
