Mauro Icardi Agrees New 2+1 Year Contract With Galatasaray After Major Pay Cut

Galatasaray striker Mauro Icardi is set to remain at the club after agreeing a new long term deal following discussions with the club’s management and head coach Okan Buruk.

The club is understood to be convinced of the striker’s importance and is confident he will return to full form after the summer camp, with both parties now aligned on a new contract structure.

The revised agreement will see Icardi continue under a 2+1 year deal as part of the club’s long term planning.

With the new deal, the Argentine forward has also accepted a significant salary reduction, cutting his annual earnings from 10 million euros to 5 million euros.

Icardi expressed his appreciation for the club’s leadership and supporters, saying his commitment is driven by gratitude and respect.

“I can’t repay the love given to me by President Dursun, Okan Buruk, and the fans in any other way,” he said.
