“Yesterday I met in my office with an extraordinary group of young men and women. Christian soldiers and commanders from a wide range of IDF units. They serve in key roles across our military and they do outstanding, dedicated work.

“This reality stands in complete contrast to what is often portrayed outside. Israel not only protects the rights of Christians in the Middle East, it is also home to Christian soldiers who serve shoulder to shoulder with their fellow soldiers, defending the State of Israel and their Christian brothers and sisters across the region.

“I listened to their personal stories. Their commitment, their sacrifice, the path they chose. I was deeply impressed.

“Israel is the one country in the Middle East where the Christian community not only lives in safety, but thrives, grows and succeeds.

“I salute you. Thank you for your service, your courage, and your tremendous contribution to the State of Israel.”
