The Football Association has imposed a four year suspension on Mykhailo Mudryk following an anti doping violation, delivering the maximum possible sanction under current regulations.

Mudryk, who plays for Chelsea Football Club, is understood to have been found in breach of anti doping rules after a routine testing process flagged irregular results. The case subsequently moved through the formal disciplinary procedures, culminating in the FA’s decision to impose a four year period of ineligibility.

The player has strongly contested the ruling and escalated the matter to the Court of Arbitration for Sport, with official appeal documents filed on 25 February 2026. CAS has since confirmed that the Ukrainian international is challenging the imposed sanction and that proceedings are now active.

According to CAS, both parties are currently exchanging written submissions as part of the legal process. A hearing date has not yet been scheduled, meaning the final outcome of the case remains unresolved.

Mudryk’s case now sits under international arbitration review, with the appeal potentially determining whether the suspension is upheld, reduced, or overturned entirely.

Chelsea Football Club have declined to comment on the situation at this stage, maintaining silence while the legal process is ongoing.
