Brentford have submitted an offer worth €45 million to 1. FC Köln for winger Said El Mala, according to Sky Sports.

The bid is structured as €40 million fixed with an additional €5 million in add-ons.

Köln are yet to respond to the offer but are understood to be holding out for a fee of at least €50 million.

El Mala has not yet agreed personal terms with Brentford, with the player preferring that both clubs first reach an agreement before discussing contract details.

The 19-year-old enjoyed a standout breakthrough season for 1. FC Köln, registering 13 goals and 4 assists across all competitions during the 2025–26 campaign. He emerged as one of the most productive young attacking talents in German football.
