Tottenham Hotspur are preparing to submit an improved offer for Brighton defender Jan Paul van Hecke in the coming days, according to Krrish .

The proposed bid is expected to be in the region of £50m as Spurs look to accelerate talks with Brighton over a potential summer transfer.

Personal terms are reported to have been agreed in principle on a long-term contract running until June 2031, with a salary package worth around £5.5m per season including bonuses.

However, no agreement has yet been reached between the two clubs.

Van Hecke is said to be open to a move to north London, while discussions continue over a final valuation.

Spurs are working to complete the deal, but negotiations remain ongoing with Brighton yet to accept the proposed terms.
